Career and life transition coaching, shaped by 15 years of listening to people at a turning point
Over 15 years in HR and Talent Advisory — and through some significant transitions of my own — I learned that the right conversation can change everything.
I have worked with people facing career change, redundancy, restructures, returns to work, relocation and long periods of uncertainty.
Again and again, I saw that the most difficult professional decisions were rarely only professional. They were also about identity, family, confidence, priorities and changing definitions of success.
That understanding now shapes how I work as a coach.
My story
For much of my career, I worked alongside professionals deciding what came next.
Sometimes the question was visible and practical: whether to accept a role, return to work, leave an organisation or try something new.
At other times, the question was harder to name: whether the path they were on still fitted the life they were building.
Becoming a mother while stepping into my first management role reinforced how deeply transitions can reshape identity, confidence and what matters most.
That does not mean I know what is right for you. It means I recognise how tangled these decisions can become — and how valuable it can be to have somewhere thoughtful and confidential to examine them.
Who I work with
I work with experienced professionals navigating career and life transitions.
You may be:
- Reconsidering a career that once felt right.
- Returning to work after time away.
- Exploring entrepreneurship or a portfolio career.
- Adjusting to changed priorities after parenthood or caring responsibilities.
- Navigating redundancy, relocation or organisational change.
- Questioning whether the life you have built still fits.
You do not need to arrive with a clear plan. Often, the work begins with understanding the question properly.
How I work
The way I work is thoughtful, confidential, and challenging when it needs to be.
I listen closely, notice patterns and ask questions that help you examine your situation from a different angle.
I won’t tell you what you should do, or assume there’s one correct answer.
The work is coaching-led. It’s about thinking things through and deciding what to do — not being handed an answer.
Coaching, and where career advisory fits
Coaching is the heart of it. I won’t tell you what decision to make — that isn’t the job.
Sometimes, though, my Talent Advisory background is genuinely useful: honest feedback on how you’re coming across, your CV, your LinkedIn profile, or preparing for an interview. If we agree that would help, I’ll say plainly that I’m stepping out of coaching and into advice.
Coaching isn’t therapy, mentoring or recruitment advice. If something else would serve you better, I’ll tell you.
